NorthCap was founded in Leeds by Ben Hall and Luke Symonds in 2021, with Richard Wright joining the team in 2024 to establish the London office and grow their national presence.
Ben, Luke and Richard share extensive corporate backgrounds with approximately 55 years’ experience between them. Luke formerly led the northern investment team at LSH with Ben looking after the Leeds office and Yorkshire & northern Capital Markets division at both Avison Young and Colliers, while Richard recently led CPP’s Capital Markets team and previously spent several years at Strutt and Parker in London and latterly BNP.
The vision is simple, firstly, to provide honest, market leading advice to our clients with no compromise on customer service. Secondly, to build a business that we can be proud of, where all current and future employees are empowered.

Ben has worked in the north since 1998 and previously held roles at King Sturge, GVA and Colliers, where, in the last two positions he was head of National Capital Markets for the region as well as being the regional office head.
Ben has advised on a wide range of property assets including traditional sales, sale and leasebacks, fundings and portfolios totalling over £800M.

Richard Wright
Richard was formally head of Commercial Property Partners (CPP) Capital Markets team operating nationally, having established CPP’s London office. Prior to CPP, Richard spent 5 years working within Strutt and Parkers Capital Markets team specialising in the Logistics and MLI sectors.
Richard has advised on a wide range of property sales and acquisitions, including structuring fundings, sale and leasebacks and portfolio sales, the majority of which have been in the industrial sector, transacting over £750m.
Richard has advised on a number of notable transactions within the Yorkshire region and nationally, the most recent was a Sainsburys distribution centre in the Midlands on behalf of a Pension fund for £98m.
